Hien Vu

Hien has more than 30 years of experience working in multinational and multicultural settings. She currently serves as the Vietnam Program Manager at the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE), where she focuses on promoting religious freedom at the intersection of culture, peacebuilding, and governance. Through her work at IGE, she applies her expertise and deep commitment to international relations, peacebuilding, holistic community development, and global education.   

Before joining IGE,  Hien's professional experience includes working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Hong Kong’s “boat people” detention camps, and in human resources and development with World Vision Vietnam. While pursuing her education in Fresno, California, she worked with Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries, a multicultural humanitarian organization that assisted Southeast Asian refugee populations in the city.

Hien holds a Master’s degree in Peacemaking and Conflict Studies from Fresno Pacific University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Hanoi University.
