Martine Miller
Martine is the President / CEO of the International Center for Religion & Diplomacy. She is a conflict transformation specialist with over 25 years of experience. Her work has engaged her in fluid war to post-war reconstruction contexts in over 80 countries across Africa, Central to Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, Europe, North and South America. She is specialized in inclusion, geopolitical, environment / climate change dynamics in conflicts.
Martine is a guest lecturer at Georgetown, Hawaii, Durham (United Kingdom) and Chulalongkorn (Thailand) Universities. She has been engaged as a Fellow with the Institute of Advanced Studies and Law School at Durham University in the United Kingdom, and an International Women, Peace and Security Fellow at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego in the United States.
Martine derives her formal education linking practical mediation and conflict transformation knowledge and skills from a Masters in International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law, a Masters in Politics Post-war Reconstruction and Development, a dual Bachelors in Political Science and International Development, with Certifications in Asian and African Studies, Neuroscience, Mediation/Negotiation in War Contexts, etc., as well as engagement in Harvard University’s Program on Negotiation. Influenced by decades of living across fluid violent conflicts where medical facilities were decimated, Martine is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and holds a Private Pilots License.
Martine celebrates her two children, Amelie (10) and Aodhan (6), with her best friend Dennis, who focuses his work on renewable energy and humanitarian response.
