Siesi Jane Ebiere

NIGERIA | 2026 FELLOW

Jane Siesi Ebiere holds an MSc in Gender Studies and has participated in several capacity-building workshops on Women, Peace and Security (WPS), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Gender-Based Violence (GBV). She is a Fellow of the Sister-to-Sister Peacebuilders Network by the Nobel Women’s Initiative and is deeply passionate about women’s development and feminist peacebuilding.

In her current role at WILPF Nigeria, Jane has co-designed and supported multiple development initiatives in collaboration with women’s rights organizations, civil society organizations, and MDAs across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. These initiatives focus on strengthening feminist peace, reducing violence against women, and building alliances with men to advance peace and security. Jane has also supported networks and organizations promoting gender equality, including the Women’s Situation Room Nigeria, Nigerian Women Mediators Network, WILPF Nigeria Membership, Joy Onyesoh Foundation, Women Political Participation Working Group, amongst others. Additionally, she mentors young university women through a WhatsApp platform, building their capacity on sexual rights and sexual and gender-based violence.
