Tanya Foster

Tanya Foster, is a board-certified chaplain. She has a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) with a concentration in Grief/Loss and a Doctorate of Ministry (D.Min) in Integrative Chaplaincy from VanderbiltUniversity. She is certified in mind-body medicine (CMBM).
With over two decades of experience, Chaplain Foster has served individuals with spiritual and grief-related issues, such as end-of-life care, chronic pain, shame, forgiveness, LGBT care, and military trauma. As a professional spiritual care provider, she utilizes a holistic approach, ensuring individuals feel heard, valued, and understood. Her practice offers a unique blend of evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Problem-Solving Therapy (PST) to empower care recipients in their journey towards resilience and purpose. Additionally, she is a featured author in the publications: A River Rising: Anthology of Women’s Voices – Roots and Branches, Volume III and A River Rising: Anthology of Women’s Voices – Rivers and Oceans, Volume IV.
She is the mother of four beautiful children and a thalassophile (lover of the sea/ocean). She also makes time to enjoy traveling, pickleball, and visiting butterfly gardens.
