Ain Nasiehah

Ain Nasiehah is currently working at Selangor Women Empowerment Institute, a state think tank set up by the Selangor State Government to formulate policies and strategies leading to empowerment and advancement in order to make the State of Selangor inclusive, sustainable and fair. A passion for gender equality since her university years has led her to join the Malaysia women’s movement, where she learned to empower communities. She has diverse experiences working with various marginalized groups of women. Ain’s current focus is on capacity building, specialising in women’s political leadership, in high level leadership and grassroots-community level leadership. She designed Akademi Kepimpinan Wanita (Women Leadership Academy), Women2Win Programme and Penggerak Wanita Melaka (Malacca Women Movers), academies and short courses for women leaders. She is also involved in a Gender Mainstreaming project for Selangor state exco's (few offices in State Assembly), in which the Selangor state is pioneering.
