Rosemary Arrah

Sr. Rosemary Arrah is a member of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ), a Catholic Religious Institute. She is an educationist and social worker and the Principal of Ancilla Catholic Nursery/Primary and Comprehensive College in Wosing-Bali and coordinator of Handmaids Education and Social Services Cameroon, an initiative of the Handmaids for the empowerment of women and girls and the vulnerable in Cameroon. She works closely with vulnerable women and girls especially those who have experience gender based violence. She empowers teenage mothers interested to continue school or learn a trade after giving birth and dropping out of school. She is also a trainer in a various programs especially Positive Disciple, Jon Gordon Company trainer in the Power of Positive Leadership, The Power of Positive Team and Energy Bus. She facilitates workshops for schools, religious organizations, businesses, and community engagement.

She holds a double Master of Art and Science in Special Education and Educational Leadership from the University of Nebraska Omaha and Bachelors degree in Theology Education/Information Systems from the College of Saint Mary Omaha. She has a Graduate Certification as Dyslexia Specialist from University of Nebraska Omaha She served has served as a principal since 2014 including an all girls school in the war torn area of the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon. She has first hand experience of working with children and parents in traumatic situations. She works closely with pupils and students with learning and behaviour challenges in schools. 

She is interested in Education, Justice,  literacy, Peace building, Women  and girls empowerment, promoting positivity, non-violent education, conflict management and conflict resolution, community building, Peoples and learning about Cultures.
