Grace Wendo

KENYA | 2026 FELLOW

Grace Wendo Mwongela is a child-rights advocate and trauma-informed peacebuilder committed to nurturing safe, inclusive, and faith-anchored spaces for children and young people. She serves as the Program and Administration Lead at Re-Imagining New Communities, where she leads the coordination of child-centered peace education programs, supports educators to integrate conflict transformation into learning environments, and strengthens partnerships with schools, faith institutions, and community actors. Grace brings extensive training in gender-responsive peacebuilding, negotiation and mediation, and faith-based approaches to ending violence against children. With a background in Mass Communication and active service as a Children’s Ministry Coordinator, she integrates storytelling, art, and Christ-centered values to empower young people as agents of peace and positive social change.
