Mariana Ezzat
EGYPT | 2023-24 FELLOW
Mariana Ezzat is a graduate from the British University in Egypt, majoring in Economics. She currently works as an Export Sales Coordinator at Middle East Glass Manufacturing company (MEG), focusing on business development and international sales directly related to international trade.
Prior to joining MEG, Mariana worked as an officer at Women of Egypt (online base), supporting women’s roles in society. She attended events related to projects created by women, interviewing them and writing press releases for the event. Additionally, Mariana has worked as a procurement officer at AECOM International Development; a research assistant at Sam Walton Business School; and a project coordinator at Scouting for Peace, a community for youth and scouts to gather and share their opinions on peace and the environment.
Mariana’s educational journey has inspired her to be an active member in society. She is keen about the challenges which countries face and how to solve them, whether social or economic issues. She felt this was a common theme between her passion and the work of CWFL and IGE. She is most eager to learn about conflict resolution, continuing to be an active member of society, and how women’s empowerment impacts the economy.
