Dastan Ali

Dastan Abdulrahman Ali is a passionate advocate for education and curriculum reform, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and empowering marginalized communities. She currently serves as the Director of Media and Public Relations and Head of Gender Unit at the Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Dastan is an active member of the Iraq Religious Freedom and Anti-Discrimination Roundtable, where she collaborates with various stakeholders to address challenges related to religious freedom and discrimination.
She is a certified trainer in the area of freedom of religion and belief. She has already trained numerous young individuals on the concept of freedom of religion and belief. She believes that every society possesses a unique context and requires a tailored curriculum to bridge the gaps effectively. Consequently, she is actively working towards making this a reality in the training courses she delivers.
Dastan holds a Bachelor's degree in English language from the University of Derby, UK, which has enhanced her communication and language skills. She further pursued her academic journey and earned a Master's degree in Management, enabling her to effectively lead and manage projects related to education and curriculum reform.
