Joline Gash will kick off the Summit with a warm welcome.
Joline Gash
Joline Gash is the wife of Pepperdine President James A. Gash and first lady of Pepperdine University. In her role as first lady, Joline is a devoted advocate for students’ mental, physical, and spiritual well-being during their pursuit of higher education and works to effectively support the student community in partnership with various departments. She has particularly focused her attention on supporting the student leaders of the Student Wellness Advisory Board as they help students develop healthy minds, bodies, and communities.
Since 1999 Joline has served Pepperdine in various ways. She is a member of the Friends of the Family League, Pepperdine Legacy Partners, Pepperdine Parents Program, University Church of Christ, and Waves Church. In January 2012, Joline and her family moved to Uganda for six months to participate in the Global Justice Program at the Pepperdine School of Law, where she and her three children served local communities through medical mission projects.
From 2015 to 2019, Joline taught courses in biology and marine biology in the natural science department at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California.
Joline holds a BA in biology from Pepperdine University. She has three children with President Gash: Jessica, Joshua, and Jennifer.
Joline enjoys walking around campus, exploring the beach, snorkeling, traveling, and spending time with her family.
