Jennifer is a panelist from the International Justice Mission. She will be speaking about violence against women and children and what IJM is doing to restore survivors of trauma.

Her breakout session is titled, “Combatting Violence Against Women and Children: From abused in the dark to empowered in freedom.”

Jennifer Chung-Vanzini

Jennifer Chung-Vanzini serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at International Justice Mission (IJM), one of the largest global organizations protecting people in poverty from violence in areas of human trafficking, modern day slavery, and violence against women and children. She partners with investors to achieve IJM’s bold vision of protecting over 500 million people across 19 countries by strengthening justice systems to build communities that lead to human flourishing.

Jennifer has over twenty years of experience in higher education and non-profit fund development, finance marketing, and pastoral ministry and counseling. She has been recognized for her expertise in active and empathetic cultivation, strategic matchmaking of passions, and pioneering innovative programs.

Prior to IJM, Jennifer held various roles at University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Habitat for Humanity and Capital Group. She credits her current skills to first mastering the art of storytelling using “flannelgraph” as a children’s pastor, learning how to engage and entertain, impress and inspire, all within 8 minutes flat.

An East Coaster at heart, Jennifer grew up in New Jersey and Philadelphia, where she received her BA in English at Montclair State University and her MA in Counseling at Biblical Theological Seminary (now Missio Seminary). She also spent a year abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea and served as a volunteer at a state run orphanage in Ankara, Turkey.

Jennifer used to enjoy reading novels, yoga, and running half-marathons, but now she and her husband just run after their two kids on soccer fields, ski slopes, and sunny beaches throughout California.
